I started the day with light workout and making a puppet while listening to an audiobook of ‘infinite Jest’by david foster wallace, on recommendation of June. I did that for a pretty long time before going to a cafe and reading ‘cheese and the worms’ for a while. A nice book. The day before I had gotten an email from M. A long and engaging email in which she tried to describe what ‘the new sincere’ was doing. This is a term that someone came up with to describe the loose group of artists in our social circle that is seemingly motivated by a similar essence. This email stirred a lot of thoughts in me so i also started writing while sitting in the cafe. I do not feel the desire to belong to this name, but it is very flattering and generous to have such a text shared with you. At 17h I did a ‘studio visit’ at Nellies bethanien studio. It was really interesting and nice conversation, after we went out for a drink and June also joined us after a bit. She had just heard she got a fellowship in venice! We then spent all evening drinking together and it was really wholesome and fun.
