Anatomy is no longer destiny
Today i met mark and he confronted me with something i did in a state of mind that I can only describe as utter ignorance, disrespect, or plain stupidity. I went against everything we had been talking about before and the discourse I was having with the other persen against whom I unknowingly did wrong. My level of ignorance, coming back from Congo, is astounding I can plainly say that I cannot remember such embarassment. It seems that I tried to forget some painful and hard emotions I experienced there. And I did. It was also the first time I felt this friendship was at stake in some indirect way. I have to question myself WAY more and not lose sight of what is important : LEARNING, HUMILITY, LISTENING, ASKING,… We also saw ‘riddles of the sphinx’ by Laura Mulvey (she was there) and peter Wollen. I should watch it again.
