Woke up late and started the day with a workout. Then I spent a lot of time listening to ‘infinite jest’ audiobook while coloring this image. Then ate very nice guac with pretzels haha. Then I was checking what kind of open calls exist for cartoons, quite a bit of new things to apply to with all these cartoons! Then edited my videowork for the residency for a bit and went outside to meet ilinca. She was in Berlin very randomly. She sounded kind or erratic on the phone so I was curious what was happening. We met and biked to a nice cafe while talking. Once we sat down she started talking about falling in love with someone and losing grip of control. She did not expect my joy and embracing of the situation to that capacity. She thought I would be somewhat reprimanding hahaha. It was beautiful to see and listen to her speak. Such fullness of life. I am really happy to see it in her and I believe it is exactly what she needs to have her foundation shaken a bit. We then did an I Ching reading for both of us and both ‘responses’ were very poigniant. I got a very encouraging and positive hexagram, helps to have faith in how and what you are doing. We then went to the apt where ilinca is staying in moabit and ate suuuuper nice korean in the neighbourhood. after we chilled in the house listening to dean blunt and being deeply moved by it. When that was done we just roamed the streets for hours, encountering beautiful foxes and endless streets. Very very special hangout. Truly.
