Nearly a week has passed since the last post. It unfolded exactly the way you would want from ‘the big city’ truly beautiful hahaha.

The last week has been so grand for me in terms of the horizon that has opened for me. When going to all these lectures I felt like I wanted to just know more and more and discover more of the interesting ideas I was encountering. Somebody said people used to think that as people we were shining light from our eyes and that is how we saw. That was exactly how I felt these days. The scope of possiblities within art, academics, science and just in the broader world have opened in a way I never encountered before. That is then also coupled with new personal relations that are so interesting and exciting! It is so beautiful I really appreciate my life in this time. WOW!!!!

Wednesday 14/05.
I went to a symposium called ‘scales of life’ at ICI Berlin and was immediately greeted with a few super interesting talks. And when i stood up for the lunchbreak the two americans I had met the week before greeted me :). They didnt really understand it so they left rather quickly but then somebody called my name and it was Made! A nice suprise. I went for lunch with a few friends of hers, quite imposing and ineresting people by virtue of the amount of knowledge they have. After lunch I met with Kaja (she is so sweet) to look at the Yoko Ono show and almost lost my phone. The show was kinda underwhelming and then I went back to ICI. when I was back I met Xristina and we checked an Olafur Eliasson show next to the ICI venue. After all the talks there was a reception on the rooftop with wine and food. There I had some really epic and nice conversations with such intelligent artists, researchers, academics,.. Really magical.

15/05
In the morning I cooked and at noon I had to give a presentation of my project for ABA. I think it went well, even tough it was kind of disjointed compared to the way i have spoken about it to others in shorter conversation. I also properly met the other resident and some other visitors. One armenian artist Tsolak was especially nice and invited me to give a tour the day after of a show he was participating in. After the presentations I rushed to ICI bc I didnt want to miss anything. Some interesting lectures later there was another reception and I was hanging out and talking all evening with June, sybille and some others. These people are so nice and smart it is really amazing. When the reception was done I joined someone I just met to go to a bar. There were a bunch op people there, one of them being the founder of ‘the new centre’ a funny and intense guy. Later Made and her friend also randomly showed up. It was a funny evening. Then everyone left and i stayed behind w this guy from the new centre bc he was waiting for his uber and we had nice conversation before parting ways.

Friday I took my time to wake up, clean a bit, work out, …. this kind of stuff. I was reading and writing too. At 5 i met Tsolak at Gorki, the show with armenian artists. It was a super nice show and he is very chill. Was super pleasant. From there I went to HKW to attend a Senegalese dinner with Xristina. It was a super funny setup with groups of random people in a circle and a panel of speakers before eating. From our circle Xristina and me were the only ones eating with our hands and the food was super nice. Aferwards the cook started djing and we were also the only ones dancing in the beginning. It was super nice. good times with Xristina.

17/05
This day I took some time to recover. The amount of knowledge, perspective and experiences had been quite overwhelming so I decided to spend the day alone. I also had a dinner with my neighbour planned, the one with which I had been passing notes under the door. So my mind was very much with that too. I called Enri for a while, passed by the office, worked a bit, cooked and went for tea at Sahar, someone who is also connected to ABA and lives in the same building. Then Aline, my neighbour, came over. I had made a really nice risotto. When meeting someone you don’t know in this way it became apparent that my appartment was very empty hahaha. It was super nice tough, we read poetry, danced, looked out the window, listened to some music and laughed. She is very particular. After she left I wrote her a note and read a bit.

This day I once again took my time to clean, work out,… Then went to the office to work but managed to do little. Printer was out of ink. I made a big program for the coming week tough, so I have not too many empty days in front of me. Also prepared the radioprogram for Freiesradio Berlin Bradenburg playing on tuesday. Then I went out and printed a bunch of stuff, visited Bethanien (was lame but had a funny conversation with a curator/artist) and met up with Lilla in a cafe and we had a really nice talk. In the evenign I was very focussed on reading ‘fanged noumena’.

19/05/2025
Woke up early bc Aline and me agreed to go to Floating university together for the movement workshop. We took the bus together and walked there. It was really nice, but she was super cold after an hour15min so we left early. We had breakfast in a cafe on the way home and talked really nicely. We got on a bus and left one stop later bc there was ticket control. So we just walked home and once home we started working next to each other and basically hung out the rest of the day until I left to ICI to go to a talk. Before that she also cooked dinner. At ICI I met some really nice and funny people again. Some PhD researcher and a professor of Italian literature.
