Todays video took way too long to make. It is a slowed down part of a video of an american making a jesus sculpture on tv. This moment where he presses his thumbs into the clay begins the story that ends in suffering on the cross. It is a godlike gesture to press eyes into this face and thus create life. The overlayed video is a sped up video of a guy making a balloon elephant. I really like the way he ties, twists, knots and connects these parts. It is indicative of many connections being made as if in a brain. As if the thumbs are triggering all these connections and so conciousness. To force conciousness into this hump of clay is a violent action, the figures expression also looks violated at the end. He was at peace before, now he is not anymore. It says something about ourselves aswell.

Today i had a really slow morning so i was frustrated and even more so ehen my train was late etc. I went to antwerp to see Lynn and Marianne. It was quite relaxed until marianne mentioned her boyfriend and was acting strange. Marianne did not stay for so much longer and me and lynn watched her newest films and WOW they are good. After coming back I did a kind of macaron taste test with shino that was really fun
