‘we will stay afloat’ was an exhibition with Margo Vanneste, Freek Lannoo, Michiel Deneckere and me. The exhibition was oganised by Maurice de Walsche and Seraphine verstraete. The exhibition space simulatniously functioned as a storage space for an out of use tram. I decided to start from this tram to make site specific work. The first one was covering a large part of the inside of the tram with salt dough, giving a soft, mushy texture to all the surfaces inside, this was combined with a particular sound installation.
